Shots

Carson went for his 12 month well baby visit today. Just checking in to report his stats. He weighs in at 19 lbs. 6oz. and 28 1/4 inches long. This puts him in the 10th percentile for height and weight. Everytime Carson gets shots he gets what my hubby and I like to call delirious. He just giggles and giggles over anything. My hubby was holding him while I ate lunch and every time I even looked at him he would just start laughing hysterically. The other day Carson stood alone for the first time. Today I have seen him do it 4 or 5 times. I believe he is going to take off running any day now.

Look Ma, no hands!

Carson and I were playing a game last night. We rolled a ball across the coffee table repeatedly and got very excited when we caught it. He thought this was great fun. Here he is getting ready to catch the ball.

It's been a year...

What a great year it's been. So happy we were 1 year ago today. That happiness just keeps on growing. We had no idea what joy our little Carson would bring to us and our family. He is the most wonderful and precious gift we could ever receive.

Carson's B-day Party

Carson's 1st Birthday was a success. He napped well right before everyone showed up. He was all into the cake. We didn't have to get him started or anything. Carson knew just what to do with his chocolate hunk of eggless cake. Yes, for those of you that haven't heard. Carson is allergic to eggs and milk. We were still able to provide him with a yummy b-day cake. It was a beautiful day for a party. A little hot out, but a nice breeze was blowing so we spent most of the time outside. We had a pinata at the request of my niece Rui. It was tons of fun to watch the kiddos swing away as Uncle Nick pulled the pinata out of their reach. Everything went smoothly, but I realize I don't like being a hostess too much. It was kind of hectic keeping things going and making sure everyone had what they needed. I'm not used to it, as this is the first time I've done this sort of thing. It was a pretty perfect day.

Swingin'

I took Carson to Newburgh Community Park today. The only thing he could really do was swing, but boy does he love to swing. We have a swing at home for him, but I wanted to get away from the house for a bit today. Not much new going on with the little guy. We go 6/15 to get him tested for a milk allergy. He will be 1 year old in 15 days. It sure has flown. Excited about his big family birthday party. Carson wants to walk so bad. He is cruising along everything. It probably won't be long. He has added a little something to his beautiful smile recently. He crinkles up his nose when he smiles sometimes now. It is the cutest thing. Working on catching it on camera.
