While Carson's Away........

Carson's staying over at his Mamaw and Papaw's house tonight. I took the opportunity to have some play time with Syd and Lex.

1st Swim

We took Carson to the YMCA today to play in the Splash Park for the first time. He absolutely loved it. He was a little hesitant at first. He was clinging to Jamie like no other in the beginning. In the end he was practically jumping off the edge into the pool. Well sort of.

A new friend

Carson met Elisabeth for the first time yesterday. Elisabeth is my good friend Casey's 4.5 month old daughter. Jack and Christopher were also present, but I was unable to get any pics of the 2 very active boys. Carson loved watching them. Every time they would come into the room he would try to talk to them. They are about 1.5 years older than Carson though, and were too busy doing big boy stuff to play with him. So Carson just chilled with Elisabeth. He was so exhausted by the time we left that he went out cold when we got to his Great Grandparent's house.

He had worn down at this point. Couldn't really get much of a smile out of him.

Sweet Dreams

Carson spent the day at his Grandma and Grandpa's house yesterday. He sure did have a great time. He was out for 13 hours straight last night after all the fun he had. He hasn't been sleeping well, but I am trying some new things and have gotten 8 hours straight out of him for 4 nights in a row now. Let's hope it continues.

Carson, Mom, and I went out to eat at Cheddar's. This is the smile Carson was flashing all around at the restaurant. It appears he really is a "chick magnet", as his father says. He had no interest in his Mommy the entire time we were there. He just wanted to check out all the other ladies.

Wordless Wednesday

Flowers for me???

Thought this was kind of funny and wanted to share. The doorbell rang yesterday afternoon and I looked out to find UPS leaving and an FTD box on our front porch. I thought, Wow flowers for me? I snatched that box up and ripped it open with much enthusiasm. The above is what I found. I thought it was a strange choice. Not that I don't like tulips, but it just didn't seem like something my hubby would pick out. They weren't bloomed and were just kind of ordinary sitting there in the box. I didn't care, I was just excited to get flowers from my hubby for the first time in 10 years. I placed them in a vase and pulled out the card that read, "We love you so much Mom! Happy Mother's Day!" I thought cool they are from Carson, Syd, and Lex. I went on about my business and got to thinking about how odd this was. My hubby is very thoughtful and likes to surprise me, but he never does flowers. So, I went back to look at the box only to discover they were not for me! It was another person's name and our address. I felt horrible that I had helped myself to someone elses flowers. I called FTD and they said they would send more flowers out to the correct address, and that I could of course keep "my flowers". Later that evening my hubby was outside when a man showed up looking for his wife's flowers. I guess they were able to find out the address that they were sent to once the flowers did not arrive. My hubby explained and told him what I had found out from FTD. Oh well, maybe next year.

Carson had a lot of visitors over the weekend. He got to see his Aunt Steph, Uncle Barry and Aunt Marie, and his Mamaw and Papaw. This is a nice shot of his 2 teeth. He's got more coming too. We've seen a glimpse of something up top. He is feeling much much better. He will go back to the Dr. next week to have his ears rechecked. He has been doing great. Not much new to report though. Just a happy, healthy baby. We have been trying to give him some tablefood lately. I made him some pears the other day and there is a pic to follow of what he thought of them. Oh, and on another note Jamie and I have been following through on our plan to have a date each month. We went and saw Wolverine yesterday! It was pretty good. Hugh Jackman did not disappoint. I also did something out of character for me yesterday. I got my hair colored! It is kind of a red tone. I love it. Nice to have the gray covered up and something different.
