Well, this is the best we could get this year. The dogs and Carson were pretty uncooperative. We're not giving up though. Maybe next year we can get it together. Merry Christmas to all!

Don't have the family shot from 2004. Love this one of Syd though.

Every year we take a family photo in front of the Christmas tree. We started this back in 2004 when we got Lex. It doesn't always turn out perfect but it's fun and we like it. I use it for our Christmas cards each year. Last year I was slackin' and didn't send out any cards. This year I am getting back to it. Today was the day for the photo shoot. Wouldn't you know Carson was in the most uncooperative mood ever. I think his teeth are hurting pretty bad right now. Well, I was able to snap a few of him atleast before he flat out refused to participate. So, here is that photo. I'll see what I can drudge up from years past on the computer. More pics to come of all of us!

I can't help myself with the videos. I think it's so cute everytime Carson says a word or two. This time it's Big Bird. Oh, and more tree trimming pics to come. Blogger wouldn't let me put but one on for some reason. I'll try again later.

Tree trimming and such

Well, just not enough time to post pics lately. Had a great Thanksgiving, aside from losing my voice and having to work. Carson enjoyed his turkey and stuffing very much. Especially the stuffing. He had a great time playing with all of his cousins. His cousin Ryan always takes the time to play with Carson. We got our Christmas decor up inside and out. You should see the outside of our house, it looks awesome. Daddy and Carson did a great job on the lights and everything in the yard. So here are a few pics.

Bubbles

Carson and I did some playing outside yesterday. I've gotten the bubbles out lately. He loves to carry the bottle around and say bubbles. He doesn't do much actual blowing bubbles. Just sticks the wand in his mouth when given the chance. I'm including a brief video of Carson saying bubbles. His vocabulary has really taken off lately. He has been able to repeat words after me, like bubbles, ernie, and papaw. Lately his favorite word is Mommy. It's my favorite too!

Pumpkin Carving

Carson wanted to get a pumpkin at the grocery yesterday. Mamaw and Papaw happened to call and want to come visit so they helped Carson with his pumpkin. At first Carson was his serious self and not to sure about what was found inside the pumpkin. After Papaw did most of the work he really got into it.

Big Brother

So, it's been a while since I've checked in. Thought I should post the good news we received about 6 weeks ago. Carson is going to be a big brother! We are expecting baby #2 5/7/10. I have no recent pics to post of Carson right now. I've just been too busy with work and school. Hopefully I will take some cute ones this weekend as I am off and plan to have lots of fun with Carson. Oh, and Carson did go for his 15 month shots this week. He weighed 21 lbs 12 oz. and was 30.25 inches tall. He is still low on the growth charts but creeping up there with all the eating he's been doing.

Enjoying the weather

Carson and I spent all morning outside. We took the dogs for a walk and then went out in the backyard and played a bit. I closed off the deck and let Carson play with his car that Grandma and Grandpa got him. He loves it. He gets in and out and in and out. He has learned to scoot himself backward in it. I put a video on of Carson saying "ball". He's napping now, but I bet we've got more outside time ahead of us when he wakes up.

Doggy Detail

Carson has seen what daddy does with this tool, now he is going to do it too. I think Syd prefers Jamie or me brushing her. She's just tolerating Carson. He really thought he was doing something good though.

Mr. Independent

My baby is growing up on me. Carson no longer wants me feeding him with a spoon. He's been trying to get this through my head for a few weeks now, and I guess there is no turning back. Although he is messy he can feed himself with a spoon now. He gets very annoyed if I take it away from him to help him reposition or wipe his hands off because the yogurt he was eating was sliding down his spoon at times and getting all over him. Oh, and he can say lots of words now too. I heard him say ball for the first time at daycare 9/4. He says go, Mom, Da, dog (not too consistently though still sometimes calls them "ga", bye, and ball. I'm trying to teach him to say book when he harasses us morning, noon, and night to read to him. He currently just hands the book out and grunts.

Getting wet...again

We visited Great Mamaw and Papaw Duncan yesterday. We had planned on going to a splash park in Owensboro but it was closed already. We had to improvise because Carson just loves to play in the water. We had Papaw get the sprinkler out. Carson loved it of course. Carson had a ball being outside most of the day. Such beautiful weather this weekend.
